Connections are only allowed through channels using TLS 1.2 protocol or higher. We use encryption protocols both for data traffic in our web application (SSL), infrastructure and also for data stored at rest. To store the data at rest, we use Cloud Storage with encryption enabled, the keys being managed by Google itself, so in our buckets, all new objects, when they arrive, are encrypted when they are stored. Objects are also encrypted using server-side encryption using 256-bit ciphers (AES-256).
