How SOC 2 verification works
Every listing is graded by how strongly its SOC 2 is proven, from public record to an auditor's report we've reviewed. Higher proof, higher badge.

What Report Verified checks
When a company submits its SOC 2 report, the SOC2C team checks it against an objective standard before the badge is applied:
- ✓The auditor is a real, AICPA-registered CPA firm (cross-referenced, not taken on faith).
- ✓The report is genuine, complete, and matches the company submitting it.
- ✓The report period is current — an expired report does not earn the badge.
- ✓The SOC 2 type and scope shown on the listing match the report.
The verification fee pays for the review, not the result. Reports that don't meet the standard are rejected, and the badge is removed if a report lapses. SOC2C is a neutral registry, not affiliated with any vendor or trust-center platform: a company cannot buy a better verdict, only an independent check of what it already has.
Never pay-to-rank. Always correctable.
Placement and ranking reflect verification depth, recency, and profile completeness — never payment. There is no sponsored placement and no way to buy a higher position. Every fact on a listing shows its source, from public trust pages to independently reviewed reports.
