Edge only uses vendors that comply with the highest standards of privacy and security. If they cannot promise and maintain those standards, we find someone else. This includes with large language models, where we require all large language model vendors to commit to not training on our data and providing zero-day retention policies that mean that they function as a pass-through processor rather than storing customer data.
Do you train on customer data?
No. Edge never trains on confidential customer data for our models without explicit user consent. We also make that enforceable commitment in our agreements and policies. This commitment was also enshrined as a custom control in our SOC 2 Type II audit.
Do you encrypt data?
Datastores with customer data, including those used in the cloud, are encrypted in transit and at rest. Data is encrypted before it hits Edge's database, so the data cannot be accessed even in the event of physical breach or logical access to our databases.
